you will need a ceramic bulb fitting. screw bulb into that then plug it into thermostat. its really simple

so once you have the ceramic bulb.. When you buy a thermostat do you have to wire it all in? or is it pretty simple??

i have got a funny feeling my guards are 120mm square x 235mm long, but don't quote me on that lol.

as long as the bulb you have bought is the same size as the ones i used to use then hopefully it will fit
JanieW Posted - 24/05/2012 : 18:36:12
hey well that simply will not do! lmao

The guard I bought measures 12cm across..should that fit?..I don't have the bulb yet.

thats just silly that they don't deliver to scotland.

no i don't i haven't got a tape at home sorry, never bring any tools home from work that way i can't get roped in to doing someone a 'favour' lol

yea but they won't deliver to Scotland..alot of these companies need to learn how to read a map lol
Aberdeenshire is not in the Highlands or a Scottish Island.

Do you have the dimensions of your bulb?

i used the black ones like that for a bit, the 150w ones i had did fit in the guards i use (thats assuming that the one you have bought is the same size as the ones i had) but i can't remember the brand of them. if you ever need a 250w one they didn't fit in the guards, thats why i changed brands.

urm also the ones i use are only about £16 from surrey pet supplies, and i have not had to replace one in well over a year
