Well the viv is assembled and Kit drilled the screws in, sealed so now for heating. Its a vivotec VX 48" I bought a 150w infrared heat lamp and Ceramic dome with a mesh guard to cover the base.
Steve wants to mount it outside on the roof after cutting out a circle of similar circumference..will that work to heat the viv?

Posted - 28/05/2012 : 19:03:33 the only time i had a bulb in a dome outside the viv was with a glass viv and it was a bugger to keep temps up. but glass is a rubbish insulator so don't know if it would work with a timber viv.
