Evening all , I've been collecting drift wood most of it has no bark on it and is now bone dry , was just wondering how I should clean it so it will be safe to go in the vivs,

Thanks to you both , it would be a shame not to use some of it , found some great pieces that would cost a small fortune in the shops. So I'm going to bleach and bake.

Thats not to say you cant use it though.

Soak it for 24 hours in a solution of 10%bleach and the rset water

then soak it again in clean water

then if you still unsure, cook the **** out of it in the oven lol

nothing could survive that

personally i wouldn't use drift wood, you don't know what nasties have soaked into it while its been floating around our crystal clear waters
