I've just brought a viv and the bottom bit that runs across the front has come off. Can I use any kinda glue to put it back on or are some harmful to the snake? Obviously I'll be leaving It for a couple of days after to so I thought I'd ask before going ahead and doing it. Somebody told me I can just use super glue and aquarium sealant?

ive got 2 4fts with this design an one has the bottom bit loose at one end, when i get round to fixing it i will probarbly seal it back in with a bit of silicone

thats a really nice design for a viv
Fezza Posted - 06/07/2012 : 15:04:36
I'm guessing it was originally fixed with aquarium sealant, that would be the way to go

Yeah just like that :) that bottom bit fell out, the sealant has worn away I think. I need to fix it soon as so I can split my corns up.

For stuff with snakes I use a hot glue gun

Can you pop a pic of said broke part?

Maybe try the low solvent/solvent free grip fill?
austin_89 Posted - 06/07/2012 : 12:18:07
Can't screw it as the bit I mean is glass :(
chrisc Posted - 06/07/2012 : 11:50:17
i would put 2 screws in each end an say 4 screws along the bottom

If you leave it to dry out for a while I don't see why not
