Your snake will either strike feed, where they strike at the food item offered. Obviously this can relate to either a live item or a defrosted item

Drop feeding simply describes the act of leaving a DF food item in with the snake for it to take without striking at it, usually some time after you leave it

Drop feeding is where the rodent is dropped into the cage to be left - not struck
