Well I am very impressed so far, very slender snake, she is as long as my biggest royal but thinner than my little finger,

I offered a rat pup and she struck and dropped, looking at her size again I'll be offering a small mouse next time.

I a made a double hide from a kellogs corn flakes box, which she seems to prefer the top level so I will be building something similar from wood soon.

From my research they are very similar to royals but I need to add something for her to climb which I can tell she loves already.

All my snake experiances are of royals which are very easy to handle and as w all know ball up when you try to handle, now the carpet python is not quite so easy, this will take me a little while to get used to, but i wil get there hopefully it won't take to long.

So all in all im very happy pictures are on my fb as i can't find the image code on photo bucket through my phone and my laptop being repaired

I'm trying to think of a name at the moment I'll update once i know

Owe ya in not allowed berm but that's because I weigh about 9 stone and my gf is lighter so its not really gunna be handled alot, we also have 2 children and live in a two bed flat and are running out of space fast at least with royals they don't need to much space, I already have the space planned for up to 12 hatchlings with about an hours work and she happy with that,

Its not I'm not allowed cause she don't want them its we don't have the room

Im pretty lucky as lucy will let me get what i want. The only thing she has said no to is a burmese due to the fact i would feed it rabbits, she is a massive rabbit lover

Yes I'm very happy so far and we not even a week in, I have changed my plan slightly, I now will be breading my royals as planned to hopefully pay for more snakes, I want a Brazilian rainbow boa, this side of Christmas then back on the royal morphs till I can persuade my gf to let me get a tree python,

All I know at the moment is im allowed to buy a female het albino to pair with my albino male.
im allowed to convert old units into vivs

I'm not allowed the boa
I'm not allowed a tree python
I'm not allowed any more visual morphs
im not allowed to buy more vivs

So let the sweet talking commence

You'll definitely enjoy your carpet. They are very confident little explorers.
Ours is now quite happy to eat his mouse on your lap, rarely uses the hides and loves to climb.

Carpets are stunning snakes. My JCP is the only one of my snakes that i know will eat when offered food. The only downside to her is that she doesn't like being touched or picked up lol.

They do like hight, well mine does. She can often be found perched on at the top of her viv
