Posted - 27/09/2014 : 11:28:52 A couple of shots of our newest girl. Golden child called either Nemesis or Inca.
She has a little bit of a swollen lip from pushing, but its clearing up nicely. |

Posted - 19/09/2014 : 14:27:42 Some new photos of Saru.

Posted - 15/09/2014 : 22:31:44 Lol. Just noticed it Cliff. Pity it keeps getting blocked with dinosaur poop. |

Posted - 15/09/2014 : 21:28:13 Hey, cute - one of them has it's own tiny Hoover! |

Posted - 15/09/2014 : 14:56:47 Sounds like your retic is growing like a weed. Yup we put AHS 500w in all our vivs over 3 feet. We had one break down after just over a year and the manufacturer replaced it free of charge with no quibbling. |

Posted - 15/09/2014 : 14:29:42 Growing nicely, Mine will be moving into a viv in the next couple of weeks. Gone from a 9Ltr RUB to a 50Ltr RUB & next into a 3ft Viv & thats just since the end of June! Are those AHS heaters your using in the viv? |

Posted - 15/09/2014 : 00:33:05 They look like a good sized viv. Think I'll need something like that in the not too distant future for my boa. |

Posted - 14/09/2014 : 17:47:29 They have both just had another housing upgrade.
Gone from this 4 * 2
To these 6 * 3
Hopefully these will do them for a while. still got to put in some shelves for them. |

Posted - 19/07/2014 : 17:03:05 Nice thread. Pictures are great. Those snakes are getting big. |

Posted - 19/07/2014 : 11:55:54 They both had a bit of a growth spurt in the last couple of months. Gala has overtaken Saru for length now but not weight. As soon as they arrive they will be getting their next viv upgrade from the 4 by 2 to 6 by 3. Both still very placid, inquisitive and confident. They are both quite happy to approach you when out for a wander and Saru actually crossed the garden to our daughter then climbed up her on his own and settled on her. Lengths and weights are on the first post. |

Posted - 16/04/2014 : 18:07:00 I think that video was the last time I used the scales for these guys. for obvious reasons I use a bag and digital luggage scales (the ones you hang the bag from ) now. |

Posted - 16/04/2014 : 17:24:00 Love the vid - I pop mine in a pillowcase (where they become instantly calm) and put that on the scales. But then, I am talking royal, not retic!! Beautiful snakes, btw |

Posted - 12/04/2014 : 16:26:29 Have updated weights, lengths and pictures for April 2014 on first post.
Still very friendly, inquisitive and naughty. They get more time free roaming since the rep room has been snake proofed. Although they still find places to be naughty, like sitting on top of the baby royals rubs. |

Posted - 26/08/2013 : 22:33:39 Yeah Bob they are both growing up fast. We have noticed that Gala loves to climb, so we bolted some branches for her up high in her viv, which she loves. Saru however prefers the ground.
RP. These guys are strangely unique compared to our others. It is bandied about a lot concerning their intelligence, but they do seem to remember and work things out. This coupled with their confidence and feeding response makes tap training and respect very important. They are an absolute joy to handle and observe. If dwarfs have the same temperament as our guys I would definitely recommend getting one. |

Posted - 26/08/2013 : 20:48:34 Wow what nice Retics, would love to own one myself one day. But would have to be in dwarf form due to lack of space & there is only one of me that handles the snakes in our house..lol |

Have added a short video Jane took while I was trying to weigh Saru. It actually took twice as long as the video but she was too busy laughing at me to video it from the start. |

A couple of Saru in his usually cuddly position. |

Posted - 30/05/2013 : 21:21:17 Yeah Mj we are expecting them to get big. we have a room set aside for them when required and make sure they are handled very frequently, including tap training to hopefully keep them as friendly as they are now. I knew before hand that they grow fast but when i look back at the weight gain its really fast. You should definately get one Carlb, if the dwarfs have the same character as these. |

Posted - 30/05/2013 : 18:30:00 I need to get myself one of these in dwarf form though, every time i watch prehistoric pets YouTube videos it makes me want one more and more |
