Brian is coming on nicely and getting a bit girth on him too hopefully will have him in a forever home next month so looking forward to decorating that and watching him bask and explore rather than hide in his cave getting heat from the mat

he was out lazing on his bamboo root so grabbed a few pics

Anywhere between 6-8ft for the kayuadi think the rule for retics is all 4 sides equate to length of snake they recommend a 7'x3' for adult mainlands about 18ft in length to stop them becoming territorial

What size will your dwarf get? I thought 8-10ft was fairly standard for a dwarf then about 6ft for super dwarf? To me that should be in a 6ft viv?
carlb1981 Posted - 19/10/2013 : 23:43:15
Not sure how big the dwarfs they've got get as its a newish line i know mine would be fine in 4ft and they do recommend not giving retics too much space as the get territorial so he's right about the coiling up bit. not sure if thats the same with the coastals though they are big but id say about 8ft. yeah darren is leaving the morpeth one to run blyth as he's from blyth too don't know if they are leaving Chris in charge at morpeth though
jonnyc1988 Posted - 19/10/2013 : 23:15:58
Aye, I mentioned you had a bredli and he was very jealous!! Ah so its gonna be blyth? he told me there would be a new shop soon but he wouldnt tell me where. So that will be his shop will it?
That worries me about the lack of experience left at morpeth mind. The young lad there was trying to sell me a dwarf retic saying it would be fine in a 4ft viv. He then said that the 2 coastal carpets they have are 10ft each (no way), but only take up 1 square ft of viv because they are always coiled up (this was his justification for dwarf retic being okay in 4ft viv). His priority seems to be selling instead of animal care. He also sold that repashys superpig to my mate as a complete diet for his gargoyle gecko.

Yeah its the beardie viv Im definitely going to get the leds will wait until darren has his blyth shop up and running and buy them from him, took Brian in for him to see he was well jealous lol

Looks cool mounted on the other viv. is that the beardies?
I recommend the white python 3ft LED white lights. Really light mine up so bright!

That cabinet is abit odd jonnyc1988,the shelve seems abit tiny to hehe.
jonnyc1988 Posted - 13/10/2013 : 09:53:42
I didn't have any problems. My only issue was glass being smashed on arrival. Happened 3 times
carlb1981 Posted - 13/10/2013 : 08:23:02
Jonny what did you think of the viv fittings? The dowel holes on mine were drilled a bit too big and the dowels could easily be pulled out so i might have to glue them or add extra screws
carlb1981 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 20:33:46
Yeah he said he could do it for £200 he's from newbiggen
Fezza Posted - 06/10/2013 : 20:29:12

jonnyc1988 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 20:08:38

carlb1981 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 19:27:12
Think i may have found someone local that can do me the background and sides with matching hide and water bowl etc. fitted in viv similar to the one i posted all id need to add were branches and Brian lol
jonnyc1988 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 16:50:31
Yeah wish I was a bit more artistic with backgrounds and stuff
jonnyc1988 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 16:33:59

Not best pics but hope it helps
carlb1981 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 16:12:48
Quite like these if i was any good at making backgrounds this would be awesome

jonnyc1988 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 15:54:41
I like it because I don't like having the viv on the floor, and it looks good with them matching so well. But as a cabinet it's fairly crap!! I'll take some pics of the inside for you
carlb1981 Posted - 06/10/2013 : 15:40:45
Would love too but haven't got time before i order it as wanting to order it to arrive by the weekend. I've seen the viv itself before but not the cabinet. would you say its worth the extra £70?

Your welcome to come have a look at it before you decide?
