Cookie our juvenile carpet hasn't read the instructions. Apart from the first day, he comes out quite happily and is placid but inquisitive. Feeding though is a pain. He won't take his mouse and on the two occasions he's eaten, its when his mouse has been left in his fawn. At this moment in time he's stopped exploring and gone for a snooze up my trouser leg.

The juveniles are usually a bit bitey when getting them out their viv, and they have an aggressive feeding response. But generally they are quite good. A lot better than their close relative the green tree python. They are just nasty!!

Mine is very nippy, even though it doesn't hurt I can't handle him and leave my gf to get him out :-D

I think its you and your family not the snakes, you have the magic taming touch. I want you to get a Orange Baboon Tarantula next please.

He tagged me twice in the shop, but now he curls up in my hair, or drapes over an arm lol

That tree he went inside, 4 hrs later Steve had to saw and break pieces off to find him..it was all hollow and it cost over £40 and now in pieces!!
Once we hooked him out, he snuggled for an hour to warm up before bed :)

And no Rob, he was resting his chin on my thumb lol
