Cat contact a company called Berriewoods..

http://www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk/pages/berriewood-frozen-food-1211.htm

They used to supply my raw dog food, and they are now selling rodents, delivery prices are way cheap if they deliver in your area which they may well do...

There dog food is some of the est raw i have seen, i only stopped using them cos i need other raw meats which they did not do..

edited: forgot to add the link..

yea i looked online but with p&p it works out at twice the price :s
my local royal breeder told me that there is a chap in bridgwater who has just started breeding rats for snake food (he kills them dont worry lol) so i am hanging round for that as it works out cheaper. only have a couple of weeks to wait so Ra can finish off the mice while i wait.
funniest thing is that my brother was breeding rats (pet rats, show quality) and he gave up breeding them a few weeks ago, sold them all to someone.... i found out yesterday that he sold them to the chap who is breeding them for snake food (my brother didn't know that part). i had to chuckle a bit

You can get fluffs online from 888 or if you want to order in bulk I'd recommend TSM.

okay every 5 days it is :D i know he can do the mice easily, leaves a nice bulge and all, would prefer to get him on rats though, but seriously the shop near me goes from rat pups, to adult rats, with no inbetween, which is why i went to mice instead :D
wolfspirit Posted - 26/04/2009 : 20:55:14
Cat, i would still feed every five days...

A large mouse is not that big...

Ra should cope with it easily...
MissCat Posted - 26/04/2009 : 19:21:36
i was feeding every 5 days until the last two feeds when i switched to adult mice. he does eat rats and seems to like them but nowhere nearby sells the right sized rats. well, one shop about 8 miles away does, but when i went in they had none. lol i have to go back next week anyway so will phone them first :D

I feed every 5 days until 400g, so no I would not say too often. Good luck getting him onto rats

He's looking great.

Ra is looking great Cat! Easily the best improvement I have ever seen in an animal.
wolfspirit Posted - 26/04/2009 : 09:15:24
once you have him on rats he will start fill out more.

your doing great Cat...lol...stop worrying over him, your as bad as me;-)
MissCat Posted - 26/04/2009 : 09:05:32
oh just so you know he was last fed tuesday night, but hasn't pooped for a few weeks, so possibly not the most accurate of weights i suppose

Excellent work Cat. He is looking soooooo much better than before. Still makes me smile when I see how much healthier you have made him. He's gonna be a stunner. Well done to you (and the reluctant Biff for supporting you)
wolfspirit Posted - 26/04/2009 : 06:28:26
what a difference eh Cat? you should be well chuffed, he looks so good now;-)

I am not up on weights, accept to say this and dont get me wrong, cos as others say they are all develop differently..

But when Peanut was sick at the beginning of the year his weight was 205g

i weighed him again on 02/03/09 he was 210g

weighed him again 16/04/09 and he was 390g but that was not empty

so in 70 days he gained a 180g, but remember two feeds were on large weaners.

I will weigh him again after his next present to me.

I am now also reducing his feeding to every 7/8 days, so following the guidelines of others on here.

What are you feeding him now and how often?

MissCat Posted - 26/04/2009 : 00:54:35
All weighed, he is 140g... wee bit of an improvement
but is 40g much of an improvment in 48 days?
