that's her im really pleased you have her she looks like she has made her self at home no prob lol it been nice talking with you. everyone always stops in the street to talk with bonny my four legged best pal but whenever I mention snakes most people don't warm to them the same as dogs. I been enjoying sharing and talking with snake daft folk like myself :)
JanieW Posted - 27/11/2012 : 17:37:08
Here she is in one of her fav spots lol

JanieW Posted - 27/11/2012 : 17:18:38
its deadly lmao last trip in came home with that weeeny Hognose, time before that the pastel and now Steve wants one of the Burms he gonna breed lol

Ooo a BHB snake would be great, now thats exciting hehe
eac84 Posted - 27/11/2012 : 15:43:59
that's magic I will do, she made a lot of friends here, we did not know she was a female tho lol im sure that's happened to a few people before. my friend took her down to the local primary school and got the kids involved from his sons class, I was always fascinated at feeding time as she was so powerful compare to my wee corns! noticed that you are also after a female spider I was just in putting an order in with Andrew and he reckon they will be from BHB (snake byte tv) which would be really cool. its getting dangerous going into the shop, I just cant help myself lol
JanieW Posted - 27/11/2012 : 13:03:10
ohh wow yes that sounds like her, Andrew said the guy that owned her was working away and didn't like to ask his friend to care for such a large snake :)

We bought her and she's just like a rather large puppy lol i'll post a photo of her later..my phone is resusing to take any pics and Steve is out for an hour.

But please tell your pal that she is being totally spoiled and we love her to bits :)
eac84 Posted - 27/11/2012 : 12:57:55
think so, if its the same one I used to feed him when my mate was off shore. he was way to much so put him back to Andrew, he was called sid but you would need to post a pic of him if its the same one, small world! he was a cool snake though and was always friendly enough.

im puzzled, "you either like them or don't" im still new to ball morphs so I will need another clue lol
JanieW Posted - 27/11/2012 : 10:05:10
eac, do you remember a 6' boa in Bernies?
She was displayed in that 6' viv he has facing the entrance in the rep room.

Oh and nope, not a pied :) although I would like one sometime.
eac84 Posted - 27/11/2012 : 09:43:33
Aye dropped them off last week. they hatched out at the start of July but as it was much first clutch I kept them for ages. I wanted to learn as much as possible and kept the clutch to compare how they all progressed, im def hooked on this hobby. I would recommend anyone to have a go as it was great when I seen the first wee head pop out the egg and to know I had a part to play in it, very rewarding. unfortunately two out of the 11 passed away :( and I decided to keep one as well, there a few that have not eaten yet but the vet thinks they are doing ok and we will intervene soon if they still are not eating. I don't know what there problem is I love eating lol

emm as for your xmas pressie all I can think of is a pied, Im not that keen on them but it maybe because I have not seen on in real life yet. I thought the same about albinos then seen the one in bernies and fell in love and is on top of the wish list now lol I think photos just don't do some morphs justice, that why I thought im going to wait till I get good camera as my phone camera does not show them off well even post shed. im away onto WOBP genetic wizard to see the calico mixes, good luck with your future breeding plans :)
reptilemadd Posted - 26/11/2012 : 12:13:50
Thanks Danny just ruin a kids dreams lol, I thought there couldn't be a het calico. I took a couple of head shots just now and although the patch isn't as big as yours JanieW but there is clearly a mark there, the problem is I haven't got a normal to compare it to, not counting this one if she is lol

reptiledanny Posted - 26/11/2012 : 11:23:04
reptilemad- i would say she is a normal, as she doesnt have the white speckling like a claiico would have, she just has white flames coming up her body. the only morph that has something like that is the splatter morph and i highly doubt she is a splatter as theres only a couple of people working with the morph in the world in the uk.

cant be het calico as calico is a dominant morph, is just a very nice normal that i would breed to a yellowbelly to either see if she has any hidden traits or at least to hopefully pass on those lovely flames

Thanks eac :)

I remember admiring the Pins Andrew had in, there were 2 right? Both males?
Lovely snakes, both of them :)
Have you dropped off corn hatchlings at Bernies? If you have recently, I think we met.
My Cali, i'm really pleased with him, the possible combos are outstanding :)

Andrew is placing an order today with a U.S supplier, I asked for a female for Steve's Xmas pressie (Baobab) not a cali but a morph that goes well with him..only clue u get is that some folks love them, and some won't entertain having one lol
eac84 Posted - 26/11/2012 : 08:57:36
mine was hatched on the 14th July and I got her last week form Andrew so wondered if they where sister lol I seen a post you made of the pinstripe I collected recently and put two and two together. both have settled in and the pin has just shed out, so if santa (fingers crossed) drops off a camera I get some good pics up, my blackberry would not do her justice. my pastel (will have to think up names) settled in no bother and enjoyed a wee snack last night so really pleased she likes her new home. im just getting into royals after my love affair with corn resulted in lots of wee babys in July. your cali looks amazing think one will go on my wish list, is there a limit to how many morph on a wish list lol its getting long!!
:)

ok thanks

You can see the head marker on my 1st picture, she might easily be a normal het calico..there is a web site that explains all the traits of a calico, but it won't load..
reptilemadd Posted - 25/11/2012 : 17:21:36
I bought her as a normal cause the breeder couldn't be sure that she was a calico, since one of the sires of her clutch was a calico the other being a lesser. With all the blushing on her sides and of course that letter A I got a bit giddy lol. Since I only paid £50 for her it's no great loss but it might have been a very good bargin lol .Not sure about the mark on her head any chance you could post a pick of yours so I can compare?
JanieW Posted - 25/11/2012 : 16:33:49
I am by no means an expert on identification, but I'd have to say I think you have an exeptionally nice Normal, I believe a Calico has a pure white belly with no markings.
Has she the marker on the top of her head?
She is a stunning snake :)
reptilemadd Posted - 25/11/2012 : 15:40:08
Right here are a few of her now from various angles sorry for the quality I'm not the best photographer in the world, plus she wouldn't sit still lol, warning pic heavy..
First her saddles.

Then a ball and her belly.
