Here are some pictures of my new baby mojave - who hatched on the 29th April 2009. Deposit paid and baby reserved for when shed and had two consecutive feeds.
I'm soooooo excited!
Any suggestions for names would be nice - it's a male.

Just an update on this little fella.....

It's feeding day for all today - apart from one (pre shed)...but I wish they would all feed like Kelso

Touch wood, so far he hasn't refused a feed, he strikes within seconds and has been known to have seconds on a couple of occasions.

Hes great and growing by the day, it just goes to show how different they can all be..

Update you with others later - being fed this evening

Update on Kelso;

Has had two mouse feeds since being home with us.
When the third was due I defrosted a rat pup as well as a fuzzy to see if he would take it he did - no hesitation.

SO, I had a fuzzy spare.....tried to tempt Gladysssss as a treat as she hasnt eaten since the end of May, but she wasnt interested.

Dangled it back in at Kelso and he ate that too - greedy little chap!!!!

Today, fed him the next size rat pup......

Not brilliant because of plastic viv, but you can get the picture

and......

I love this one!!

OOOOPPPPS, nearly forgot what I logged on for - just fed him for the first time - he struck within seconds of holding the mouse in, so all is really really well. Hooray!!!!

When I say shop I mean Reptile specialist shop - he breeds as well - and has been doing so for 30 years. The shop is based in Wales (Newport) he does not have anymore Mojaves but he does have a couple of clutches of eggs there - but I'm not sure what type of royals they are. if you are interested, i could pm you more information.
Wolfspirit - I have pm'd you the cost.
wolfspirit Posted - 21/06/2009 : 17:47:21
Can i be nosey and ask how much she cost you as she is from a shop...

you dont have to answer...

She's really pretty!

Which shop you get her from?

I want one. Hee hee
Blackecho Posted - 21/06/2009 : 17:02:41
No probs, good luck
kashie Posted - 21/06/2009 : 16:45:03
Blackecho - yes he has been feeding in the shop - his last feed was two days before we brought him home. I meant we have the drama of his first feed at home to look forward to - as royals are known for their finicky feeding - sorry if I gave you the wrong impression!!
wolfspirit Posted - 19/06/2009 : 20:50:13
he is beautiful well done on getting him and good luck getting him feeding
Blackecho Posted - 19/06/2009 : 20:46:06
So he hadn't fed 5 days ago, but you've already got him home?

Very nice btw.

Baby Mojave - now named Kelso, came home on Wednesday.

This is a picture in the shop when we went to collect him...

This is a picture of my son with him today....

So far he is settling in quite well - hasnt been fed at home yet so that's a drama to look forward to!!

Beautiful little Royal.
kashie Posted - 10/05/2009 : 12:07:50
Very good I like it
Paulusworm Posted - 09/05/2009 : 18:25:04
What about "Pip". Trouble is you'd have to buy more and call all of them "Pip" to make that name work. Motown reference.
kashie Posted - 09/05/2009 : 14:38:16
I like the name Dave - thanks for that - but I,ve been out voted in the family and they have all gone for Kelso.

This is because there is an area in the Mojave desert called Kelso, and to be honest the more I say it and look at it I quite like it too.....what do you think????
