I got a twin matstat from ebay for £43 postage FREE, so you should be able to find a single much cheaper.

Dark side is the reptile forums uk (RFUK)

What kind of light are you using, white? red?

If you are using a red then hook it up to a thermostat and you won't need he heatmat as the light can stay on all night. Or change the light to a ceramic heater on a thermostat and you won't need the heat mat.

Very nice royal! My 2 seem to grow chunky then long, chunky then long etc, you might want to look at getting a heat lamp for when s/he's bigger, going off previous posts on here mats aren't ideal for heavier bodies snakes.

yea its one year old and a bit and only 2 feet long although it is quite chunky for some reason lol

got it off some guy on gumtree.com he lives near me got the snake 3ft wooden tank full set up 6 rats and a spare heatmat for £100!!!!

I highly recommend gumtree for anyone they always go cheap!
