Looking good. Nice contrast between the dark and light.

Just an update of Phyllisss so you can see how much she has grown.....being handled now, though still a bit cautious as she still looks like she might attack - being bigger the bite hurts more... lol

She's over 400grams now and on a weekly feed of a weaner rat.

You can see by the way I'm holding her - I'm still scared!!!! pms

She's a beauty :) I hope she settles in soon and stops her stropiness ! I want a Spider next or a mojave :)
kashie Posted - 29/09/2009 : 09:42:35
Actually she is still tiny - though only being fed on rat pinkies in the shop so maybe way.
I fed her on Sunday - 2 days after comong home....no problem there, but I will be stepping up to small rat fluff next feed.

congrats. she most be a good size now, as she looked like a big hatchling to begin with. I have to be honest, just a tiny bit jealous. Pastel is definitely next on my list, Although very surprisingly after my wife stole my copy of practical reptile she expressed some interest in the Mexican Black King Snake. What do you you think Lee?

Got her home and placed her in a rub, which she is busy exploring as we speak, hoping that handling will stop the stiking once she has settled in and had a couple of feeds.

No pictures today - wanted to get Miss Stroppy into her viv to settle asap.

We have named her Phyllissss, by the way.

congrats Karen..

is she related to Piers snake? i mean with the striking..lol..

still think its pastel thing

That's a fantastic name, I love it!

Hope she settles in to her new family nicely and gets over her grumpy streak...then we can see more pics!

No racking system at the moment - all in plastic vivs, but plan to go down that road real soon. Someone posted a fab stack made out of aluminium - plan to do that set up, it's very neat and strong too.
