Posted - 12/08/2009 : 07:54:16 I got Jinx about six months ago, from a pet store near where I was living in Ohio. I'm not sure how it is in the UK, but in the US we have a lot of issues with pet stores underfeeding their snakes, especially royals. When I got him he was on pinky mice, biweekly. I had a period of a few months where I couldn't get him to eat anything but live pinky mice (had to be live and had to be pink)...And he would refuse the food for weeks on end, only eating about once a month. Finally, I've got him switched over to frozen/thawed pinky rats, once a week, and will be moving him up to rat pups as soon as I restock in the next week or two :) He's finally beginning to bulk up and gain a bit more length as well. I'm very proud of his transition, so I'd like to share some feeding pics with you!
In the photos, he's eating a pinky rat and a fuzzy mouse, at one feeding. I'm trying to use up the last of my little guys before I restock on some larger rat pups.
