Hodgie strikes again. You got too many good ideas mate. Off to B&Q as well. At present I use kitchen roll or newspaper. Thing is you can't use newspaper on anything too light or White as it dyes their scales. And kitchen roll sometimes isn't strong enough for the big ones. Well not the pound shop stuff lol. Is the b&q stuff very ab absorbent ? |

Thanks Bob, ye its the XL range from Really Useful Products. Its exactly the same dimensions as the normal 18L but the XL range just have a higher lid(I thought the RUB itself were higher).

Yes I use kitchen towels in my lager RUBs, sooo easy to clean and very absorbent(depends on the brand).
Thanks hodgie Im going to B&Qs tomorrow and will have a look at the "wall lining paper" sounds good. Whats the width of the roll?
Also Ive heard good things about unprinted newspaper, but dont know how absorbent it will be. |

I'm in the process of making a shelving unit for my rubs. Great to see these as it helps me know what to do. |
