Well, I've got a bit of a mistery. Tig went blue, then he went clear and now he's all lovely and shiny and the blue shine on his dark colouring is at it's best. ...But where is the skin??? I have no idea, 'cause it's not in his viv : / I've checked his hides and I've checked through the moss... no skin. I'm a bit worried and a bit confused so if anyone can enlighten me as to what he's playing at please tell me...
But, while I was at it I got him out and had a hold. He's been hiding in his hide all the time he's been in the viv and I thought he might like a stretch. And I took some photos!
Being a pretty bracelet...
Got bored of that and thought it might be more fun to go try and be a hat...
He didn't succeed X )

I put him back in the cool end to try and get him to explore a bit and it worked. He was all over that viv! So I took some very quick photos so's not to keep the doors open for too long...
  
Aaaand! For all those who had a headache for days because of this...
The cabenet doors are on the cabenet! Yey! Thank you for the tip on putting the plastic thingies into hot water, it worked a treat. They still chewed to vaneir off in big chucks, but with the hinges finally on you can't tell 'cause they cover up the damage : )
Now he's on his bigger mouses (the petshop is going to try and get some right sized rats in for him) he's started growing at his normal foot-a-day-I-swear! rate X )
Any thoughts on his game of hide-the-skin would be great, otherwise I hope you like : ) |

Tig loves the camera :) awwwww
He has a lovely neat pretty head.
Love the the freshly shedding skin under which is almost like velvet - amazing texture. |

He's been clear for days now, maybe close to a week (that's not like him). I assumed he'd shed just 'cause I've never seen him so shiny just before hand.
...So I have nothing to worry about (yet)? I'll still keep an eye on him, see what happens. Maybe now he's growing faster (and getting bigger by the minuet) it's just taking longer for the whole shedding process to end?
ETA: Yes, he always poos just after shedding... it's lovley X ) He does have damp moss and I'm keeping the humidity high for him in the viv. He's never taken so long to actualy shed though : / |

As Bats said, they clear up and then shed about 12-24hrs later. If the sheds not in there usually with a big poo as well then he hasn't shed yet.
Give his hot hide a little spray or put some damp moss in and you'll have a treat tonight or in the morning.
Glad you got the doors sorted. (clever bats)

Hi, when a snake is a day or two, or few, away from shedding, the blue eyes clear and the skin goes shiny again ... and then they shed.
Nice pics and glad the idea for the plastic bits on the hinges worked with the cabinet. |
