Good looking royal a short handle won't do any harm but keep it to a minimum until he feeds ok :)

my first royal was on 20th june 2010 and got my first corn on november 30th 2008

My first royal september 2010.
I had a corn snake when I was like 11 but since I kept it in a 6ft by 2ft vivarium that was about 5ft tall andoriginally used for iguana's its safe to say I deffinately was not an expert lol

LOL - no probs, Kelf!

Think Danny joined with his first royal about same time as us, though ...for the record, I got my first corns in 0ctober 09 and my first royal, Shahi, in July 10 (Shahi anniversary coming up.)

Haha sorry bats, we can blame danny instead I think he's had snakes longer than us

Kelf! When did I ever scold anybody??

Hang on - we got our first royals within a month of each other, my lad - I was just as new and green as you were and just as terrified of getting flamed ...stuff I'm not admitting either as a newbie ...

Andy, take no notice, he's winding me up, he's on a boa high lol!

Besides I'm sure if my 1 week old boa can manage to be taken to the vets twice, held every single day of his life, given medicine into his mouth and have his eye taken out then your big tough guy is going to be fine :)

god thats alot poor little fella hope he's good now though
i will give him a few days to settle in but i just couldn't resist like a kid in a candy shop

What a monster!
He's lovely

I'd personally still give him a few days alone to settle in, just in case
