Posted - 11/12/2011 : 10:43:51 hi all yesterday was the feeding day for rasha and slinky.. last meal was 8 days ago for both.. this time i offered hamster instead of mice
at first i offered a prekilled hamster but unfortunality both were not interested as what u see in the photo :
and then i offered a live hamster and rasha didn't waste time
as for slinky,he refused to eat coz he is going to shed as what u see in the photo:
and these are some photos for rasha & slinky together after feeding time and u can notice the difference in size
look at rasha's belly,, she cant breath hehehe
thats all thanks for watching Rasha & Slinky |

Posted - 12/12/2011 : 10:28:05 gorgeous snakes :D such lovely markings on them both!
If they ever do have problems feeding again (altho the shedding explains it!) then maybe see if you can find a spare box or something a bit more enclosed to feed them in (doesn't need substrate or anything) as they might be feeling a bit too 'out in the open'... or just feed in their vivs (just watch out for the old substrate getting in their mouths as they eat).

Posted - 11/12/2011 : 12:02:03 Wow - Rasha's a lovely big lass and does you credit - won't be long before Slinky catches up.
Hope you don't mind me saying this, but if you're keeping them together it's best to keep them apart at feeding time - if they got into an argument over the same hammy it could be dangerous. Lovely snakes and great feeding pics. |
