Huge props for what you've done for this little fella.

Congratulations cat, just goes to show that Royals are hardier than people give them credit for!

It really is amazing how much of an improvement you've made of him Cat. Top marks
wohic Posted - 11/03/2009 : 22:07:14
wow wow and wow cat he is looking great !!! very well done !

THe white rings could be a little more shed, however the eyes look nice and clear so i am more enclind to think is just a reaction to the shed skin having been there so long....... i would expect to see slow and gradual improvement to the rings over the coming weeks, his eyes appear just a little 'puffy' as well but again that is probably just part of the recovery process, you should be very proud of what you have achieved

The grey outline of his eye looks like retained eye caps to me, but without seeing it its hard to tell. Well done for getting him feeding and he looks alot better already.
wolfspirit Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:48:32
and he can see now, plus he is probably feeling so much better after his bath and stuff...

Bet you feel heaps better now to
MissCat Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:45:33
i was so shocked he took it after all the wasted rat pups he's given me LOL i think that was more down to the fact that he obviously wasnt happy, no idea why he ended up taking pinkies though :s ah well at least now i know he WILL and CAN do it :)
MissCat Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:42:53
some weird paper based one, i have no idea what it is i cant even remember where i got it but it was cheap and does the job for now lol
wolfspirit Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:42:41
wow, those are great pics, he will be well happy to get a good meal in his belly to.

Well done Cat and Ra...

whats that song.." the only way is up" and your doing it great..i think he will be fine..and keep improving now
Blackecho Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:40:17
His eyes look perfect, perhaps why he struck for the first time, can probably see now!

Good work getting him onto rats too

What's that substrate btw? (obviously bark, but what else?)
MissCat Posted - 11/03/2009 : 21:35:57
i did realise as he was eating that i should have put some lino or something down in case he ate the bark, so i watched like a hawk to make sure he didnt. i'll remember next time lol
oh and do u see the white ring around his eyes? is THAT a sign of retained eyecaps?
