was derek's feed day.
i now brain the rat so he takes it head first or im there for an hour or more waiting for him to eat
one happy rat filled snake

yes some can get addicted to mice plus its much easier to feed 1 big rat to an adult than 3 mice.

Thanks am goin to get a rub today could do with one anyway for cleaning and such so wil give it ago! gonna try get her on rat pups aswell while she's still young heard they can addicted to mice!! wish me luck haha thanks again:-) |

lol and i'm glad Slinky isn't the only one that takes near an hour to eat, and that's a small mouse. I reckon use the last 4 smalls and move on to mediums :) |

put her in the rub/box then warm the rat up with a hair dryer getting the head nice a warm then offer with tongs or holding the rats tail.
she may eat in the rub or she may not, my little one frank used to strike feed in a rub but now only eats in the viv
i leave the rat in there on a cloth an he takes it later on well he did hes now fasting |

hi chris really nice pics gonna get a shoe box tub today so i can feed my little royal in it! she doesnt need feedin for a few days yet anything i should do to get her used to it or just put her in on feedin day?? |

nope no sign of fasting at all, hes now on 2 week feedings as hes over 1400g.
soon as i start drying his rat hes trying to get out of the rub an strike feeds every time, just looks at it if its not moving so a quick wiggle an bang he takes it |
