Hi Peeps,

So, Maizey still isn't eating on her own, but as soon as I assist her she coils and then eats it now.

I changed my approach after speeking to a local royal breeder. Instead of assisting small amounts to keep her alive, I am now assisting normal sized meals to bulk her up, in the hope adding abit of size to her will help natural instinct take over.

I took this approach after not being able to get a live mouse. My brother went in the pet shop and they instantly recognized him as my brother, even though he has never been in there, and is 10 years older than me.

Heres a few pics of her growing.

Could have sworn there was a mouse round here!

I haven't seen it, honest!

Nice bit of stinky blood to clean up, after she split the mouse

Thanks for looking guys,
Stewy

Aww good girl!

It's a good idea, when first assisting, to feed a smaller prey, but if Maizey's used to assist and will take a prey suitable to her size, then why not? And as you say, she can certainly use the nourishment.

Looks like she's doing well, hope she feeds normally for you soon!
