Only got him a few days ago but he has settled really quickly.

That picture was taken about 20 minutes ago, first time feeding him.

He didnt take at first but after I heated it up some more and brained it he took first time (after 4-6 strikes)

His home (without anything in):

With stuff in:

Am I right in thinking he is about to shed, look at his eyes in the first picture and this one:

Should I put some damp moss in the hide to the right?

Thanks for looking.

I sprayed Sofia's viv once a day to increase the humidity & her shed was perfect, not sure if this is coincedence or not???

I also have a moss box in my royals viv all the time, and i keep it moist, he likes it in there to, easy to make, just get a margarine tub, cut a hole in it make sure there are no sharp edges, add the moss and you have agreat cheap moss box, and cos they are plastic they hold moisture better to..i keep mine in between the warm and cold end and there it stays.

nice snake and nice set up...

as for moss its personnal choice...I dont use it. i just move the water bowl from the cold side to the warm side to increase the humidity.

At that age about every 4-6 weeks but all snakes are different, you could put a moss hide in but probably wont use it.He probaly is going into shed thats why his struck 4-6 times

In the flesh they pretty much look like they do in the photos.

Should I put some moss in the hide?

Are you supposed to always have moss in the cool hide, or just while its shedding?

According to my records (from the shop, they are a bit sketchy) he last shed around the 10th of February, sound about right for a 9 month old snake?

sorry for the n00by questions
