Posted - 15/04/2012 : 14:51:39 Cool pics. As well as the snake 'dance' demonstrated in Bats videos she posted many many snake disagreements are solved with very subtle acts of domination. Putting their head on top of the other snakes head is a very subtle act of domination but you'll never see the under dog/snake doing it. |

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 18:43:57 I think they're fine just meeting on neutral ground, whatever sex they are. One of these days I'm going to try and get my lot (2 guys, 2 girls - I think!) to pose together (though knowing the awkward little gits they'll zoom off in different directions lol.)
But the guy in the vid seems to have been housing 2 males together in the mating season. Kind of unwise. |

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 18:31:18 Wow! I don't know if Frankie is actually a female so should I just keep them from meeting? |

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 13:58:16 No that was very Informative, not something I'd personally try to replicate but the video of them fighting in the wild Is something else

It's a bit like arm wrestling lol. Wouldn't put a couple of males together like this though. No need for it.
but of course it happens in the wild -

Danno91 |
Posted - 14/04/2012 : 12:48:53 I'd take a guess that they would strike |

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 11:09:18 Oh and a nice periscope too! Great pics!
It's clear that your albino is doing what I call 'the jerky snake dance' - ages ago I read that if a snake meets another snake, it moves in a funny jerky way, unlike the usual smooth glide, and apparently this is body language proclaiming - 'I am another snake, not prey, so don't eat me.' I've seen corns do this - but having more than one corn out at the same time is a nightmare lol - royals are much more placid.
Lovely royals and pics!

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 07:02:24 lovely snakes. i haven't let my 2 royals meet due to the fact that sully is a miserable git and is not keen on coming out of his viv.
your albino is gorgeous, the more i see them the more i want one. |

Posted - 14/04/2012 : 01:20:51 Thanks
Thats the first time i tried it and i was very worried, but it all seemed ok they where a little jumpy but no aggression at all.
it was a success
