Hi just a little film of Guybrush my 19 month old normal while he takes his daily constitutional around his viv. Sutekh one of my cats can't resist a little cameo

Burmese are, apparently, the commonest of the pedigrees to become feral. I would say that your Sutekh is definitely of Burmese extraction - a most beautiful cat, and I'm so glad you were able to rescue him and his brother.

Between myself and frends we gave homes to all the kittens and mum (who was also neutered), all are still doing well, so a sad story with a happy ending

That's lovely! Love the names you have for your animals. Is Sutekh a Burmese? He/she is beautiful. And so is Guybrush.

Reassured someone else lets their snakes and cats see each other. I hesitated to get snakes for a long time after seeing a friend's garter snake show fear of a cat. I needn't have worried. The snakes were initially a lot bolder with the cats than they were with me. I remember a few days after Shahi came home. His viv is in my bedroom and I woke to see Mouse batting on his glass, and a pale python underside reeling slowly out of sight. 'Mouse!' I said, 'Leave the poor little thing alone. Can't you see he's terrified?' (As Shahi reared himself enthusiastically back up to the glass like a cobra, eager to commune with his new friend.)

When I got up he ran away and hid! (Mind you, not surprised, seeing me first thing on a morning ...)

It does supprise me that the snakes have no instinct to be scared of the cats. Although I supervise the cats very closely when there's no glass between them
I am not sure of Sutekh or his brothers breed, they were two of a litter from a pregnant abandoned cat a frend of mine found giving birth in his shed.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Shocked but not surprised - my Emily carried me 5 kittens across the road and into the cellar when she was getting to know me, to say nothing of her Aunt Tess's little D'Urbervilles. (But that is another story.)
