Right I've decided on the rack system for starting my collection but im not too sure on the sizes for rubs as there seem to be some capacities that come in different sizes and i don't know which are best as they are either tall and not a lot of floor space or plenty floor space and pretty shallow. what do you guys use or recommend 1st off I'll need a rub to set up for my cb11 female which i think weighs 275g that i will be getting delivered in 4 weeks so which size will be best for her?
Thanks Carl

Nail and head spring to mind Bob

If you'd like to keep several royals, with easy of cleaning, easy to heat and maintain, rubs really are a good choice

I am not a fan of RUBS, I make no secret in this fact, I use them though as they are super practical for baby snakes, frogs and bugs.

BUT

Royals are not your typical snake, they aren't for show, they are happy to sit doing nothing in one place for weeks on end so a RUB is perfectly adequate for them. They dont climb all that much in general either so height is not the biggest concern keeping them, a good appropriately sized hide, food, water and warmth is about all they require, anything else is a bonus

I wouldn't say so
But the anti rub people might say so

That's great thanks guys does the restriction on height on some of the rubs not bother them

Rought guide
5l x up to 200-300 grams
9l x 300-500 grams
18/21l x 500 - 900 grams l
50l x 900 / adult grams

Sometimes moving up will upset the royals feeding :(

Maybe ikea large tubs (forget there name) / v70's for big female adults

Nope, 2 hides and a water bowl. That's it

Do you put plenty plants in there?

All my cb11 and my cb12 girl are in 50ltr rubs. Warm side hide and a cool side hide and they're all doing fine
