Posted - 16/08/2012 : 23:11:38 As I am sure most of you are aware I have had feeding issues with my albino Albert, to begin with he would only eat if I drop fed and covered the Viv with a towel
Then he decided to fast and I tried many things and did not follow my own advice and let the fast run its course,
A few weeks back he ate a mouse and I was over the moon, we he then missed a few feeds, I was starting to feel that he would be a blue moon feeder
Well its feeding day today and i had run out of the his food so thought id try a rat pup also to small but hay worth a try,
Heated up with a hair dryer, i moved his hide out the way put the rat I front of him and hewas very intrested id say 15 seconds and strike the firsttime ever
He is now looking around for more im such a happy owner
I'll try add photo

Yeah, but if they can't see it properly then it might make them nervy. I think Snakes can be more nervy than people think. If you could smell but not see that Rat with the big teeth biting at you would you want to risk it?
It was just a theory anyways. No idea if it could be true. |

Posted - 17/08/2012 : 09:28:41 A bit random I suppose, but could him being albino mean his eye eight isn't great? could it be that 'cause he can't see his food very well he's a bit aprehensive about it? |
