Posted - 08/02/2013 : 09:49:35 Aye I read through the training leaflet myself I found it quite comical, instructions on where on the pythons head to stab it for a clean kill - as if these "hunters" are going to be precise about it when they've got a thrashing mean scared 185ft monster (imaginary) snake striking at them. They're going to panic like people normally do and then stab wildly whenever they can, assuming of course they're using a blade if they want the good old fashioned gun hunt instead then you cab be sure theres going to be a lot less other animals in the wild once trigger happiness sets in.
Least it was a failure anyway, made me happy. |

Every time I see news on this, it makes me physically ill. And angry. And sad....so very, very sad. I'm sure they believe their 30 pythons have been worth destroying fragile and delicate ecosystems while these hunters traipse around, destroying plant life and congesting waters. Sickening.
Tell me about it. I'm Floridian! It's EMBARASSING! And of course, Bill Nelson gets elected for another term. What a bozo.
You got people from all over the country coming to Florida to kill a burmese python - most of these people have never handled a garter snake let alone a burmese. They are all clueless. So they come to Florida, take a 2-minute training video on how to spot a burmese and they're off to the wild. Overheard by a news reporter is this guy telling his companion that when they see a python they need to grab it by the tail and whack its head on a tree...
The Cuban Tree Frog is a bigger threat to the local ecology than the pythons but nobody even thought of having an open season to whack these frogs on a tree. But, hey, it's a MEAN, EVIL python - anything goes. Whatever it takes to kill the b******ds.
Yes, yes, they are doing this in the name of CONSERVATION. What a bunch of bozos!!! |

Posted - 30/01/2013 : 21:52:40 You never know the pythons might of planned a hunt of their own and are hiding somewhere together getting ready to ambush and eat all the hunters lol |

Posted - 30/01/2013 : 20:11:28 Don't underestimate the governments ability to spin this story to their advantage.
The lack of pythons found will obviously mean they have become invisible, which will also mean that they're now anywhere upto 50ft long and ONLY feed on infants and the elderly |
