As the title says... Budget ideas. I no some of us tend to be on a tight budget so try and cut corners on prices etc. anything from eBay to making stuff.

SO HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO SHARE SOME OF THEM.

Here's mine. As some have seen I managed to make two bulb holders from £6 sheet of mesh from BnQ...

And here's my newest. After clearing out some draws I came across a tea bag pot thing. So thought hey presto. A food bowl for my baby bearded dragon. Here it is...

What's yours?

Last year when I got my surprise boa babies I had to do a lot of cost effective improvisation! I had my boa's kept in cricket tubs heated by a 3ft vivarium, their water bowls were originally milk bottle tops, once they were bigger and I could afford RUB's I used alot of scrunched up and crinkled newspaper to fill the RUB's up, this presented them with loads of places to hide as well as climb.

Agreed about the F10. I still have a full bottle after buying two. And I was cleaning a treatment tub every day, using it in a nebulizer twice a day every day, and cleaning a viv with it every other week. Only used one bottle in a whole year.

But I'm afraid I haven't really had the chance to to use my crafty-cunning and come up with any clever ideas like that. The furthest I got was to use those metal hooks you get a pack of for a quid to hang Tig's branches and plants off... not very crafty : /

Convert an old unit into a rack and use 50ltr rubs. they are the corners I cut. I stuck with getting exoterra caves and waterbowls just because I like them.

Also F10 disinfectant, although it seems expensive at 12-15 quid for 200ml, when mixed it works out at about 100 litres worth of disinfectant. so that's less than 7p per litre (if my maths are right) Also the ratio is based on everyday use so more may be used for heavier jobs
