I'm so glad I got my royals.
I've kept cornsnakes for some years and always wanted a royal but put if off because of the non-feeding issues.
Silly me...I really should have got my royals sooner.
They're awesome snakes. Love mine to bits.
Sorry for the boring post but I just wanted to share my love for these amazing creatures.

I was always more into Boas but Hubby really wanted a Royal. Then Hubby got his first Royal, a little 'Normal' called Hector who is now my favorite snake! :)

I agree, I always thought royals were ugly fat things and never really looked into them at all until I actually held one and fell in love with its little duck face, so much I bought it there and then and left it in the shop while I did some research and to a vivarium sorted. They can be testing if you don't understand that they don't need to eat all the time and they can be very inactive so don't make the best display animal but there is something about them that just makes them a great pet. I think they make just the perfect balance of large body but not too long and they are calm and slow moving (most of the time). I love all my snakes but Duke is the easiest to handle so he tends to stay out longer.
