Has anyone else got one as I m struggling with my heat gradient in my king snake setup.

Using a 100w ceramic on a dimming stat. Medium sized viv just under 3ft.

Only getting a 2 deg drop from the hot to cool end 31-29. The room has a oil rad which keeps the ambient temp a 22ish.

Any advise guys? Lower watt bulb? Drilling some vent holes in the cool end?

I would be happier if the cool side was at the 25-26 mark.

I was planning getting my mojo one but this issue is really putting me off

I've got a couple of the new ones and an old VXone, the old ones are def better than these new ones, not enough ventilation.

i have an old style viv exotic that's 3ftx15x16 and have the same problem if the hot end is only 30c then there's a 3 or 4c drop in the cool end anything higher an there's hardly any drop in temp

Looks like I will be drilling some extra vents then.

Not impressed with these vivs so far lol

I thought this would happen as soon as I seen the new look tanks they look great but the vents look too small lol

I tried a lower watt bulb in one of mine,Just took longer to get to temp etc.Plus still did the same thing :)

I added more vents and added some fans :) on the cool side.

I have come to realise the new front vent system on the vivas is load of tosh.

Gonna drill a few vents in the back I think. I need the oil rad to keep the rooms ambient up for the other reps.

The older system was better than these new ones. Think I will go custom on my next viv.

Could drill another vent or turn the radiator off lol

A ceramic bulb will raise ambient, there is no avoiding it. The viv exotic vents aren't big enough or high enough to let out the heat fast enough either. My corn is in a ceramic heated viv and the ambient is 23, I had to put vents in right behind the bulb to help get rid of excess heat I also realised the skirting board was partially affecting airflow so had to pull my whole stack a few inches away from the wall.
