Posted - 16/04/2013 : 20:21:43 Any of you guys that have the monkfield added extra vents or extra screws? I put mine together today and i thought they could have been secured a bit better especially being a 4ft viv. the bottom is only held on by 4 screws one in each corner and the top has 5 of those cam type fixings with some dowels and the back is 4 screws also and that's about it really couple of dowels either end on the plinths to me that doesn't seem enough as there is no support in the center |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 21:35:22 I had a few that I believe are monkfield and they are still going strong. Even have one as a high humidity vivarium and not a problem at all. I've seen the vivexotics stuff and it reminds me of Argos furniture, cheap and short lived. |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 19:31:26 didn't realise that the new runner board/vent's can be sharp. i just dont like the design to be honest look's much better with wood on the front |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 19:17:24 Yeah there's a couple things i don't like about them too, the sizes for one and the vents can be sharp which isn't good as they are within easy reach of all reptiles |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 19:07:28 i have a couple of the old style vivexotic's no real problem's with them but not used any of the monkfield one's.

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 19:06:49 They only have the new viva range in and the sizes are smaller than the old range :-( god knows why they would do that prices are similar too |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 18:23:47 No they work out the same, i managed to find a vivexotic ex48 online for £109 but the delivery is £25 and the monkfields are £140 from pets at home the monkfield has more height too 4ft x 2ft x 2ft where as the ex48 is 4ft x 2ft x 18" |

Posted - 02/04/2013 : 17:42:54 I have a monkfield,Looks better made and more stronger looking/more fancy looking too.If any of that makes sense :P
You can tell the different,But its still a flat pack thing..its not perfect and has over hang etc.Where they haven't lined up all the sides perfect etc.
wood is thicker to on mine :) Guess its down to cost to.Is it alot more then the vivexotic one? |
