has anyone ordered from livefoods.co.uk? i placed an order which arrived this morning, the pinkies were defrosted and the rats half defrosted and look more like weaners than small rats to me and a hide which had a big chip in it! there was no bits in the packaging so they have clearly sent it to me damaged and not damaged in transit! wont be using them again!

I've used them alot before :) when they used to sell more livefood,Never had any problems.

Did you pay extra for faster p&p with heat packs etc.Or just next working day?I'd have sent them an email first,As i doubt they would have wanted the rats back etc.

I've been using livefoods for years and always found them great value and quick delivery. You must have just been unlucky. As to refreezing partially defrosted items there is no issue, they'd have still been chilled.

Sounds like good and fair customer service. Glad you got some of your money back.

I received my order from frozen reptile and am happy with it, was delivered at 2pm by interlink (got a email that morning with a hour slot) and everything was very well packed and more importantly still frozen. Sizes on what I ordered were spot on and I would buy from them next time in 10 weeks or so.

Just to be fair to live foods, I recieved an automated email saying thankyou any issues contact etc etc. so I emailed them basically saying the order was not right and explained why and that i do not want the hassle of returning products. This morning I got a reply stating they will refund me for the items i wasnt happy with! They cant cock things up that often if they hand out refunds that readily without even asking for the product to be returned! my faith is partially restored in them!

I had an issue with a bulk locust order, most of them DOA so I phoned and they sent me another lot FOC. Problem was only half of those were alive. I gave up and just haven't ordered from them since.
I use Essex Reptiles now and to date have never had a problem.

That's fair enough, I do the same and complain with my wallet and don't give future business to ppl/companies that try to stiff me.

I would just be worried about the defrosting and refreezing of the food tho.

On a possitive note the orchid bark I ordered was ok... But I guess you can't mess that up lol

They will ask for it all to be returned etc and I cba with the hassle. The hide is usable and luckily the rats were for my boa that don't eat anyway lol. I'm just going to accept what it and not use them again. Was just curious if anyone else had anything like this happen from them

I haven't ever used them, but I would certainly be putting a complaint in if I were you.

You might get money back
