Maybe he just split the shed whilst shedding then, this is quite a common acurance with my large python not Matter how humid you make it due to the size of the snake breaking over the various objects in their vivs.

Nevermind, mine did that once, put it down to being to dry in his viv, so now I go to town when in shed moss everywhere and mist a warm fine spray into the viv.
Sheds complete now everytime.
