Does anybody know if there are any restrictions on types of snake you are allowed to keep in Portugal. Not thinking hots just your normal pythons boa's hoggies etc.

Cheers Richard. I'll check tomorrow. I'm in Angola at the moment so getting my emails can be a hit or a miss.

Not to sure on Portugal, but if its like France there are some restrictions. In order to keep Rainbow Boas, Retics, Afrock's & burms you need a breeders licence. There are other species too but these ones are just off the top of my head.

A good easy way to find out is to look out for some online breeders/retailers & see if you can buy without having to fill in a declaration. The Portuguese for breeding is "criação".
