So it happened earlier than I had hoped, but on Sunday morning I came downstairs, got a rat out of the freezer and put it on top of the viv. When I looked into the viv Mr Snake was nowhere to be seen. The locks were still on and nothing looked amiss, but Mr Snake was gone.

After a bit of searching I found her under a roll of spare carpet behind the sofa. I'm still baffled as to how she got out but I'm glad she was found and quickly too.

So when I put her back in the viv I was thinking to myself, "well that's a wasted rat now" considering it took her a couple of weeks to get used to eat when I first got her and changed her environment.

Turns out the wander didn't bother her at all. She was sitting on top of her hide getting some much-needed warmth and after a minute of dancing the rat in front of her, she struck and ate like a champion.

I've gotta say that I wasn't expecting that.

Well done Mr Snake, but at the same time, BAD Mr Snake for escaping in the first place.
