Both horrific stories - but the one about the snake seems a bit suss to me - apparently the owner put it in a bag and then a container the night before only to wake up and find it gone. On finding it gone he ran straight to the childs room - why???? Seems odd to me???? They are looking into child neglect too so who can say. Really sad for both the child and the animal.

I think (not sure where I read it) that they had been put in a private vehicle.

Anyone know what type of police vehicle the dogs were in? Just playing devil's advocate here so please don't bite my head off. Aren't the dog carrying police vehicles set up with air-con for the dogs that stays on even when the ignition is switched off? Just thinking mechanical failure rather than negligent handler.

from what I've read, the burms owner stabbed it to release it but then it was taken to a handler that has a permit, as he did have one.

A permit for what?

No idea? just state it in the newspaper report that phil posted on tcs.

the police force have been in contact with the rspca to help in their "investigation", but the independant police investigation commision felt that they were not needed in the matter!!!
SO MUCH FOR THEM TREATING THEIR DOGS LIKE THEIR OFFICERS!!!
wolfspirit Posted - 02/07/2009 : 22:01:43

both stories terrible, i hope the burm is still alive though, was not the snakes fault...

as for those handlers, they should be sacked..and prosecuted for the suffering those poor dogs went through before they died..
