I had the same problem until i tried rat pups, now he has eaten last two attempts, i thawed them out next to his vents put in a frezzer bag and put in a cup of warm to hot water for about 15mins then used a hairdyer for a min or so with the front of his viv open i could see him sniffing, soon as i put the rat pup in he took it straight away.

good Luck

thanks black echo will follow your advice
Blackecho Posted - 07/07/2009 : 20:17:44
I allow to defrost for a few hours on top of the viv (on a bit or kitchen towel) for the smell to slowly wake him up and then warm for a minute with a hair-drier.

Blackecho Posted - 06/07/2009 : 18:28:02
I wouldn't bother with fuzzies either, try a small mouse or ideally a rat pup

HI Blackecho is right, even as a first feed they can take rat pups..and they are better for them than fuzzies.

but wait another five days.

How many feeds did your royal take before you got him?
