I use a stupid on off thing. It fluctuates from 29 - 32. Going to change when I move him out of his little faunarium thingy.

I`ve got Reptile radiators on pulse stats in vivs, they are a little pricey but definately a great bit of kit.

I use a pulse on a mat and the temp stays within 0.2 degrees, very good.

wish i had known that cos then when it comes to changing you are already half way there..

i would use the ceramic and stat on a n older royal and keep a juvie in a rub till it was around 5 months old..depending on how big it is ...

but from what i gather and i think it was Ali that told me, a pulse is good for heat mats as the temp is more even, but wait for Ali to reply, she knows more on mats than me..

I agree with Ali on using a pulse with a mat...they are way to variable for my liking on a n on off..

as for in a viv, i use both, but actually now prefer the dimmer and infrared..

juvies - a RUB with a heatmat
adults - viv with a ceramic or reptile rad

on/off stats vary quite a lot, best bet is either a pulse or a dimmer
