Posted - 12/07/2009 : 12:24:15 does anyone know how to wire this properly at all?
does the brown wire go in the other side in which hole?
also it looks like it has solder on it, will it still be ok to use?
thanks as always;-) |

Ok didn`t realise it was soldered. You will have to solder the brown back on then.

Sorry didnt mean put the wire in the bottom. If you look inside the lampholder it will have a metal clip in the middle, this is where the brown has to connect to. The other metal clip will be on the side, this is where the blue connects to.
the blue one is soldered to the top...i presume the brown one was...i cant get the thing out to see if there is a clip or not..lol..
i might just go out and buy a new one tomorrow..lol.will be easier, but means another royal without heat... |

Is it a lampholder wolfspirit. If it is a bayonet holder it doesn`t matter which way round the cables go. If it is a screw in fitting then the brown needs to go where the clip is on the bottom and the blue needs to go where the clip is on the side.
its a screw in one Remmy, and the whole thing screws to the viv ceiling,
the wire is not long enough to go in the bottom |
