i thought i would use the wood up thats laying around my house and turn it into a viv

and heres what ive done so far





taken about 3.5 hrs got a couple of hrs left and then they can move in woohoo

its made of pine but the flloor in the viv is melamime so that way the heat mat isnt sat on the varnished pine

nice job. yeah leaving for the week is a good idea it will take 5 to 7 days for the silicon to completely cure anyway.. what kind of wood is that? i have been doing something the same . well not the same looking but same idea making vivs out of the wood i have in the shed . have 3 vivs now and two rubs . problem is i only have two snakes. ah well looks like i'll have to get some more. no point having empty vivs lying around the house......LOL

gonna give it a few more coats of varnish tomorrow, then im gonna leave it running for probably a week just to be certain all smells and nasties are gone

that looks great, but you might want to leave it overnight just to let the temps settle first...
