how often does ur royals do there business and what sort of size goes with age, also does it smell real bas |

Friends snake did one yesterday, she said she could hear this like whistling noise - sort of like a balloon on its last breath. She wondered what it was but knew there was only one explanation - Alexis, her snake - farting!!!
She text me to ask if snakes did this, my response being 'if we do and other animals do, then I dont see why snakes wouldnt'.
Anyway, she sat and observed for a while and again this whistling noise came from the viv, but this time Alexis popped her head out of her cave and sort of stretched out as if to push the wind out!!
She checked the viv a few minutes later and found the biggest poo ever she reckons it was as wide and round about 2 inches and about 6 inches long.
She borrowed my scales to weigh her, as she reckons her weight will have dropped from 900+ grams down to 600 after passing something that size. Pms |

The last one that Sherm did was bigger than the large weaners he eats. His last turd was the night that he was due a feed. No wonder he didn't want his rat with all that in him. Godzilla the Bosc still wins the stink stakes hands down. Makes corn poo smell like air freshener. I think DazB will back me up on that claim . |

Lol wolfspirit, Tilly did that. I thought she was spending a lot of time in her cool hide until i lifted the warm hide up and saw why. |

i am the same as SC i use kitchen roll, so is much easier to see when they have been and clean it all up...
none of my snakes lay in it when they have been anyways, they all seek out alternative hides till i clean it up... |

My male hasn`t done anything yet, but then he hasn`t eaten
My female does it every 2 weeks as a rough guide. You can smell it as soon as you go near the viv although its not that unpleasant. Better than dog .... anyway. |

it differs from royal to royal. mine go about once every 3-6weeks and urate every 10 days or so. it is big poo but doesnt smell as much as a corns. |

most of mine go around every 4-6 weeks, but i have one royal who is more frequent than that and will go around every 3 weeks..
the smell is not as bad as a corn snake, but you will know they have been..lol.. |
