I noticed tonight while feeding Sal that shes starting to get that blueish sheen, I take it this means shes about to start shedding? Its only very very faint just now and only in a couple of places on her and im glad shes had a feed before it incase she goes off her food for a while after it.

This is my first experience of a shed so im quite excited!

by blueish sheen you don't mean something like the rainbow shine you see on say a white lipped python do you? Only reason I ask is that mine (and to my knowledge all royals too) have the oily sheen to them when in top condition.

if you can get them she could move up to a rat fluff....

but feed her every five days for now..

Can i ask what weight is a rat pup. I thought a rat fluff was small. Where i get my food from a rat pup is about 100g which is bigger than the weaners i got.

that weight sounds more like a small/medium rat...

rat pups tend to be around 10-15g

Rat Pups are like mouse pinkies, probably up to 10g or so.

Yes, stick with every 5 days for now. Rat Pups should be fine for a bit too or as Anne says you can get some small fluffs.

Ok cool, yeah shes been fed twice since i got her, 5 days apart . Ill take a wander up to Neon Gecko and see if they got any fluffs. If I can get her onto fluffs next feed will they still be 5days apart?

Thanks for the help
