My lil girl seems to be a content snake now shes back in her faun for a wee bit longer, she has now gone into blue again its a month today since her first shed. Only noticed last night when i picked her up.. she was tad sketchy but ntb.
Gets a spray down each day but its amusing to watch her do her own bit of re arranging , she goes into either the tub hide or coconut on warm end and literally clears out the aspen with her coils so there is nothing but the faun floor between her and the heat from the mat.
Seems quite content, not using moss this time round want to see how she goes with just misting.

ok well that fell on its face... duchess just shed me n my son watched her....it was a bad shed she got the first half off herself, but last half was a nightmare so i sprayed her down and put her on wet towels on the bed and ran her through them. #
After about half hour of picking at stuck bits and easing off the rest she was ok back to her lovely bright colours, i had to pick off tail tip but eye caps were all there...but misting really doesn`t seem to make a difference i said id try it once with no moss.. but if i had probs they are straight back on it.. so yes she had a problem shes going back on moss..guess theres no point in changing anything just stick with what works.:O)And to show her appreciation for the help she pee`d,dropped a urate ball and double dumped right next to my sons leg... So now at least i know what the reversing means...lol but just glad shes all ok now.

It would have to be a 2litre ice cream tub. I will try her without moss on her 1st shed, she hasn`t come out off her cool hide in days anyway.

I just moved the water bowl closer to the warm end for Bliss to increase humidity a bit worked a treat she has plenty of logs to get the shed off, but she shed in her hide..

Yes its for Tilly, i have put in a small bowl of water near the heat lamp to increase humidity

yeah was told about F10 when took two of em to the rep vets.. plus kellog has got f10 for the abrasion on his nose which is healing nicely
wolfspirit Posted - 16/08/2009 : 22:53:41
it can be if you dont change it often enough, i change mine fortnightly, but i also spray it down with F10 so any chance of bacteria and it is killed...
punumbear Posted - 16/08/2009 : 22:34:05
i was advised to dump moss cause was breeding ground for bacteria and just move water bowl onto warm side to raise humidity or mist , so i said id give it a try once and see how they all go shedding if any probs ill go straight back to moss.. so see what happens.

What do you put it in. With my corns it is easy, just a small plastic container but what do you do with a 3.5ft royal lol
punumbear Posted - 16/08/2009 : 22:05:47
lol yeah will use all that up at needed times but gonna take me a while..lol
Remmy Posted - 16/08/2009 : 22:03:58
8 bags, i would keep using it lol
punumbear Posted - 16/08/2009 : 21:59:24
i started using repti mist when kellog joined us. use it on all of them now and seems to be doing the job of keeping the scales in gd condition. Just want to see with how much ease she sheds.
If all goes well i may dump the moss altogether....... all er 8 bags of it..lol
