posted this on TCS earlier thought I would share it here to.
i went into my local pet shop yesterday to pick up some fish and turtle food and order up some rat weaners.
this shop does not really sell reptiles but they do have an carolina corn, and a green water dragon and some turtles in the shop. they also stock and sell heat mats, lamps, aspen etc.
just out of curiosity i thought i would get a price of them for thermostats. (not that i need any at the minute)
the guy in the shop pondered for a moment and said. well there are different prices depending on the size and pointed to the heat mats.
i said. no im looking for the thermostats, you know, what you use for controlling the temp of your mat or lamp.
his reply was "OH RIGHT, CAN YOU GET THOSE SEPARATELY? I DIDN'T KNOW THAT!"
IDIOT! now i could maybe understand if he was only new to the shop, but he is not. He has worked there for years, his mother owns it! |

as he said that i would have said i want a mat and pulse stat and just paid the price for the mat lol. would have saved yourself a fortune lol
