was in a little pet shop today and a lady came in and asked about a bird cage....

nothing wrong with that...

accept...

she wanted to keep a rabbit indoors in it..and then when the lady behind the counter told her it was not the right thing to do, the woman stomped out and said she would buy one somewhere else..

i just stood there with mouth open, could not believe someone would want to keep a rabbit indoors in a tiny bird cage..

The shop I got my 1st snake from (which fortunately has closed down now!) asked me if I wanted a 2nd snake to keep the 1st 1 company as the viv I had was plenty big enough...the worst thing is the snake I had bought was a cali king!

luckily I had done my research!!

i went in to vets today to buy a gastric tube and a syringe to use to help rehydrate new snakey. when I said what it was for there faces where priceless and the two assistants and the vet physical took a step backwards and continues the conversion from that bit further away.

As far as pet shop go. i have had the "thermostats i didn't know you could buy them separately" and " mites are you sure i don't think snakes can get mites"

I think they have learned more from me about reptiles in the past 5months than they have in there many years in the business. and they are still trying to sell me the albino Burmese they have

aye, better than I was. More alive than before, must have slept for an average of 12 hrs a day these last few days.

back to pet shop things, Pets at Home are stocking reps again, and I heard their local REP SPECIALIST! state that you can keep beardies on a heat mat without any problems as they take their heat from below....exactly the flaming opposite of real life, great eh?

glad your feeling a bit better..

our PAH already have them...

i dread to think how many of these poor animals will die cos of them...

ps

Sabine is in shed..

lmao....i would have rolled up...

how are you feeling? are you better?

lol..that does not surprise me..

i was in a shop a few months back and someone came in asking for vegetarian dog food, when the woman asked what the vet recommended, it turned out the people were vegetarian and wanted there dog to be the same..

they were far from happy when the lady tried to explain that unless a vet had recommended it, it was not really the right diet for a dog..lol..

That's insane - some people have crazy ideas!! She'll want to keep a chicken in a fish tank next!

Here's mine from Saturday:

Dad: What spiders do you have?
Shop person: Blah, blah, blah...and this is the most poisonous one...
Kid: I want one, I want one, please please dadddy?

I didn't fancy hanging round for the response, I dread to think!
