So, we're starting to turn cooler and head into the breeding season. Anyone finding their RP's have changed their eating habits? - none of my 3 females are eating for the first time all year!

Anyone breeding?

Sherm is starting to wind down now. Active last night but not remotely interested in feeding. He even refused an XL mouse last night. He's normally giving one of those a cuddle within seconds of it being offered. G's happy though. Rodent feast for him today. He's looking rather rotund today .

Caesar and Savina haven't eaten in a month.
wolfspirit Posted - 15/10/2009 : 21:26:37
well as of now i only have Peanut and Sabine eating...Oscar and Bliss both refused tonight...

must admit i was shocked at Bliss cos she is a dustbin normally, and has been out all day today...

how is everyone else doing?

Amount of daylight can affect them too.

What I don't get is ...... how can the weather affect their feeding if they are in an enviornment which is temperature controlled????

Surely because of that they would be unaware of a temperature change outside the viv/rub????

I currently have

peanut is in shed

2 due feeds tonight, Oscar refused so Bliss got both, she has just come out of shed

Kayla one of my babies took a weaner...

still have to feed Kaz, but unless she is in shed i dont predict she will be a problem..

Sabine just refused as well...

so two have not fed...

Two YB's feeding and one Mojo feeding, normal not wanting to play at the moment....
dazb Posted - 30/09/2009 : 20:00:52
Neither are active and neither are feeding...

freyja in shed but has been feeding great. Gaia on the other hand has refused 2feeds now which is very strange for her. but she is no where near breeding age or size. she is just looking attention.LOL

All mine feeding well - even the females and the new pastel (fingers crossed, it's earlydays).

Ruby and Bruno guzzled down their food as normal (but neither of them are breeding size yet). Doug ate his mouse but refused the rat(normally I have to give him a mouse as an appetiser for a rat...if he doesn't get a mouse he wont go near the rat! LOL)

Dont known about feeding, but Zavvi has been very active the last week.
Danny Action1 Posted - 29/09/2009 : 20:26:03
Well mine are all eating really well for some strange reason which makes a change for me

As for the breeding I will put my Mojaves together on January 1st 2010 and figers crossed it all goes well and I end up with a Super Mojo (I hope) well anything really as it will be my first time breeding
wolfspirit Posted - 29/09/2009 : 20:18:43
Bliss and Kaz would both feed everyday right now if i let them...

and Oscar has now developed a feed me feed me regime, but he wont be getting anything more than normal....

Bliss is in shed right now as is Sabine so i wont really know much till they both finish shedding..

But..if Sabine takes on a little more weight i plan to make her a mum if possible..

Bliss i will wait till the spring before making any decisions....
