Posted - 20/10/2009 : 12:12:11 Gotta agree with BE on this one. Personally, I would only do it just before the very last resort of force feeding. The main danger with removing the water bowl for a week is that you don't know how dehydrated the animal is before the water is taken out. Dehydration kills a hell of a lot faster than starvation.

Posted - 19/10/2009 : 23:08:07 It's been known that if you take a snake's water away for a week and then offer a wet food item they will take it for the moisture. Not something I'd do for a snake that wasn't desperate. |
