just thought id share my experience, seeing as i havnt been on for awhile.
had my royal a cpl months now. 08 male, i got him and he was being kept in a rub by the previous owner. so i put him in a 2ft viv to start and quickly changed to a 2.5ftx1x1 as its abit more space for him.
today i thought its time for the 3ftx20 i made him.
so i moved him over, put him under the hot hide, and strait away he came out to have a look about.
hes about due feeding day so i thought id put the rat in the cool hide and let him find it as he floor feeds, i was really expecting him not to touch it but hes happily gobbling down a small rat in his cool side hide. im sooo shocked!
it took him 10mins to work out how to get on the shelf i put with his hide on it, he was just sniffing underneath the shelf:)
hes not missed a feed yet but i really didnt think hed eat strait away.
yay, im happy now.

I hear ya ... i just love my royals, especially my 07 male. He is just a gem
However i have just moved him from a 50ltr RUB to a viv the same size ... and that bugger hasnt eaten since ... a month, lol  |
