Posted - 11/12/2009 : 19:10:43 I got it sorted, well nearly. I went down the station last night and was given a number to call today. I phoned them up and they arragnged an apointment for 11:30 am monday to sign a statment saying i dont want thi to go no further. Im a lot safer now.:) |

Posted - 09/12/2009 : 07:51:54 if you haven;t signed a statement they can;t summons you to court even if you had and they summonsed you to court as a witness they cannot force you to give evidence the only thing the prosecution can do is ask you to confirm in the dock that the statement you made is true then they can read it out and it gives the defence no opportunity to cross examinn you. happens quite regularly with women in domestic violence trials |
